John Quinlan

About the Host

John Quinlan is the host and coordinating producer of Forward Forum, a weekly public affairs radio show, with a focus on local and national/international guests about progressive politics, community organizing, civil rights, social justice, new media and media reform, the arts, and popular culture. The program originates from WTDY (1670 AM) in Madison, Wisconsin, and is attracting a national audience as well, through its live stream and podcasts located at www.wtdy.com.

John is a Madison, Wisconsin-based journalist, organizational development consultant, civil rights activist, cultural competency trainer, media reform advocate, gay community leader, and radio show host. In January 2008, he received Madison’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Humanitarian Award. He is the 2009 president of the United Nations Association of Dane County, and a commissioner on the Madison Equal Opportunities Commission.
